Baltimore Fashion Week's first "solo designer" showcasing in the 15th season of this year's fashion week event, The Shows At BFW, is the brand "Elise Sew Official" under the creative direction of Elise Little.
Elise Little, born in Louisiana and raised in Maryland, is a designer new to the fashion industry. The youngest of three and mother of two, her family members are her biggest fans.
In 2019, the year the pandemic ruined some for many, was a start for Little. While in the house, she taught herself how to sew by creating masks to help members of her neighborhood and the surrounding area stay safe.
In 2021, Little became the head seamstress for an online apparel company called "The Clothing You Wear." This company's mission was to communicate a person's personality through clothes.
Knowing carefully selected items to complete a look can evoke a dialogue of style, "Elise Sew Official" was born. Style is everything. Style is power. The style allows a person to speak without saying one word. It attracts, commands, and demands attention, all while gaining respect for the mood. That's the thing about style many people don't get, but through my brand, "Elise Sew Official," I get it and introduce it to my clients. Making a person look and feel beautiful is an immediate reward for my clients and me.
I leave this quote from one of my favorite motivational speakers, Ryan Leak – "Become today who you intend to be tomorrow. The bridge between who you are and who you want to be is simply COURAGE."
